A national coalition to protect workers' health and safety

Who we Are

The Protecting Workers Alliance was formed in February, 2009 with the goals of bringing together a broad coalition of organizations to advocate for stronger protections of workers' safety and health.

Our Steering Committee is made up of representatives of member organizations including:

  • The National Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health
  • The Occupational Safety and Health section of the American Public Health Association
  • United in Support and Memorial of Workplace Fatalities
  • The Alliance brings together a wide range of organizations including community health advocates, labor unions, environmentalists, immigrant advocates, and others, who endorsed the Alliance's policy agenda entitled "Protecting Workers on the Job: Seven Priorities for Federal Action in 2009."
